UT2004 Oldschool vs Newschool DM 1vs1 cup *updated*
The "Oldschool vs Newschool DM 1vs1" cup is taking place today. Featuring great names from both the old days and the new days, this cup should cater the needs of the spectators and the players.
The cup will be played on the 25th of November, starting at 15:00 CET, and will be played in 2 parts: a group-stage and brackets. The two highest ranked players of each group will advance to the brackets.

Also, it mentions hardware prizes but not cash prizes. ShX I believe you were asking for donations many months back, and I know that I pledged my support, but is that still going to happen or not? I'm a little bit confused by all this sir :S

Yea, it's unforunately not up to me that some people has dropped out during that time. Anyway, you might also realise that it's actually hard to get these oldies back once more around. Main reason is just real life, second main reason is ShootMania itself.
The prizes which were mentioned previously were only on 'paper', noone had send me anything on my banc or PayPal account. I was writting mails to all people who were up for supporting, unfortunately I got nothing in response. If anything new will happen, I will surely inform about it. So that's nothing like happened in the past, that organisator took all the money from the pot for himself. There were not money given from the community (yet?) into this tournament.

It would be interesting to see how new schools can handle gitz aim, considering its as good as it was.. :)
The only players i can think of that are on the same aim level are skaven and perhaps zed but well both arent playing..
I was hoping to see lauke too just for a chance to see him vs gitz but you cant have it all..

Loads of respect goes to ShX for this, he has been trying as much as he can to make this cup a success, unfortunately Shootmania appeared and also real life got involved, so there aren't that many oldies playing this anymore. Will still be a nice cup for sure tho ;)
