UT3: Team Deathmath Pickup
For those people who still enjoy some good ol' UT3 TDM a brand new pickup channel has spawned.
If you want to play some games you can join #UT3.tdm on Quakenet.
For those who do not know what a pickup is (shame on you): it is a simulation of a real clanmatch, or at least as close as it gets. The skill level is higher than on your random public, people don't act like 12 years old etc. To join a game just type !add in the channel and wait until you have 8 people. The irc-bot should tell you what server to join.
For the pingwhiners: servers are being hosted in Germany.

i see no sense in splitting that small community. levi.pickup is already struggling to field pickups , and now a new channel has been created. now both channels will struggle, coz some people will add on the first, and others on the second. there are not enough players left in the ut3 tdm scence, to have 2 pickup channel for the same mod.
but maybe its just my opinion.

I'd have to agree with both JiePie and Hektorr.
JiePie is correct that it is not too uncommon that people act like 12 year olds on both the servers and in the IRC channel, and to top it off some admins have a beef with certain players and act out like above statement.
Hektorr could be correct, UT3 is struggling as is and another TDM pickup might do more harm than good. It has already pissed some people off because certain individuals from both camps doesn't like each other and that will probably lead to people taking sides (which relates to JiePie's observation).
At the end of the day i really hope that this works out though, it would be a shame to have to cut back on UT3 even more.

Nothing was directed at you PissedNumlock, it was meant to be directed at some users and admins in the pickup channels in question. I should've made a direct quote from JiePie to help clarify what i was referring to but couldn't be arsed and for that i apologize :)

why doesnt one of the channels dedicate to 2on2? in ut1 theres 2x 2on2 pickup channels and both still see a lot of activity throughout the day, The 4on4 channels struggle at time to get 8 for a game,

i agree with w)v. the #msb.pickup in ut2004 is active, because its a 2on2, but some rare nights we are many people and change it to 4on4. keep it 2on2 and if there's alot of activity, go for 4on4

recently in levi.pickup .... 20 pickups in one day 4v4 tdm
i think its a good idea with a new pickup channel since some of the admins in levi.pickup behave like they own the world...and some new mature admins in #UT3.tdm certainly dosent harm any1 imho
