UT2004-"clone" in the making - your help needed!
There is a serious project with the aim of recreating the feel and gameplay of UT2004 currently well underway, under the workname FPSX.
The shooter will use up to date graphics, UT2004-movement and -weapons, and hopefully get rid of some bugs in the process. And most importantly: it will be a fresh game - available for free - hopefully attracting both new and old players.

UT 2004 Movie: the last way out of here
 Alter has released a new fragmovie, called the last way out of here (sic). The movie contains frags mady by it's creator and was edited in a whole new style I personally have yet to see in an Unreal Tournament 2004 fragmovie. Or maybe I just can't remember. The movie is accompanied by a chillout music, lasts less than five minutes and is definitely worth a watch.

Spam
As some may have noticed some lovely spammers are having a ball in the forum. I nuked all topics that are created today, sorry if you created a legitimate one. I suggest you wait until tomorrow to create it, as I may have to do this trick a couple of times today. Also do not reply to them, as it provides more work for me to clean up the database with replies that no longer have a corresponding topic.
Update: I have installed and configured recaptcha, hopefully barring any further spam attempts. Sorry if your comment got removed in the cleanup, but I could not really verify the thousand posts I have removed.
As there were quite some spambots already registered (apparently since the 15th of august) that were still posting on the fora I have removed all users created since that time (no more fake  lozzz accounts ). Once again sorry if you are a new member and your account got removed.
Update2: Apparently our lovely spammers owned quite a lot of accounts. As described in the previous update I removed some newly created accounts, which in hindsight I should not have done, as banning them would suffice. I was forced to ban quite a lot of accounts, and if I hit yours contact me on irc and I will unban you.

UnrealNorth: Designer wanted
As the poll may indicate I am (slowly) working on a complete rewrite of UnrealNorth as the current codebase is quite a mess. The reason for this post, besides to inform you that there is actually some work being done, is to find a designer willing to design a new look for the site. This site is being managed by volunteers, so unfortunately you will not be paid. You can of course place your name in the footer of the website, giving you eternal glory and an infinite stream of women (or men if you are either female or into that, we do not judge).
If you are interested you can either poke me on IRC or email me at pissednumlock@unrealnorth.com to discuss the details.
