Ill have a look at both the rox bug (which is still there) and the minigun not firing bug but it's not a priority just yet. Would be great to get it fixed though. After I get the rest sorted I'll look at fixing these if Epic haven't done so already,

I'll have a look at dodge ramps too.

Ricot you raise a good point, and i do want to make something that joins gameplay elements of UT3 with 2k4. Obviously vanilla UT3 isn't enough to keep both sets of players happy. So I'm thinking UT3 needs to be brought into some sort of middle ground. However the best way i could see of doing that is with the dodge jump and I do like what it does for the gameplay. Even though the maps are much smaller i think it can still pull it off. It just wont be necessary to dodge jump constantly. Dodge jumping also means your movements are a little more obvious which helps the hitscan. This gives more room for tweaking the rl and other projectile weapons and imo adds depth.

If the mini is still too powerful i can decrease damage again or decrease rof.
Your impact hammer suggestion is great so that is definitely going in asap.
A lot of people want triple rox back so I'll probably try putting it back in too (hate triple rox in vUT3 1v1 but i guess it just needs tweaking rather than removal)

I appreciate your feedback Ricot and i need as many skilled players giving feedback as i can find.
A lot of this is trial and error and i might change the movement in the future (slower running speed or slightly shorter dodge maybe) but at the moment it's staying. If you could keep giving feeback to future versions it would help me a lot :)

Oakz the only change made to the flak was that is is weaker at a distance. If you get a point blank shot it will still do full damage. Does anyone else think that this should be reduced too? With fast switch it might be necessary. Im also worried about spawn rape. Im hoping that by reducing damage slightly for all weapons (compared to vUT3) it will help even this out. We will see.
Not sure whats wrong with your crosshair. It could be the server setup if you tried it on the mpuk one. Anyone else having this problem? Finally, what is the typing delay?

Tnx for putting it on the server mahe! I get a nice ping there so I'll be back on later i think. If I were you i would switch armour stack on in the utcomp config though.

Its not a big deal but when you write something in game you need to wait 2 or 3 seconds for another. Same goes for binds.

About crosshairs; i tried both instant action and online but its same. In Utcomp's crosshair menu my crosshairs seems normal but they arent. I tried both Utcomp3 v2b, v2c and v2d all same. I'm using -nohomedir maybe thats why. I will try to solve again few hours later.

The minigun/stinger doesn't need to be decreased anymore. In my eyes, it's only the new movement that makes this weapon easier to use :) .
As for the dodge + jump, i'm not a fan of this in UT3 because that makes / would make people run more and the ability of controlling a map decreased, that what i noticed in my 3 games. Also, it makes the game a little bit more "random". Now, this is just my point of view, i know a lot of players don't agree with me and want the dodge + jump back for UT3.
So i will let you see how the community reacts about that movement, and then you'll be able to keep it or not :)

In case you want to keep that movement, maps will need to be rescaling tbh. I only have tested sentinel and penetrated yet, and i really feel these maps weren't made to be played with dodge + jump :p .

hehe im here to aid in this mutator and well LMAO tTweakd lwent offline just as i found out how to input slope dodging thing.
so a version of this mut will include that, theres also a modified impact hammer code to make it more coool like previous melees, and also a bio rifl where the 2ndary charge does damage pretty much instantly!!! moar too come more testing more fun blah blah woo!

This server seems bugged, i cant vote for Cpm3. Game opens normal duel instead of Cpm3 even if you vote.

And one other thing, my crosshair issue continues, i couldnt find a solution. When i vote normal duel they are normal, but when i vote for Cpm3 it restores default crosshairs. :x

Yeah im looking at the server just now. Im assuming that i set up UTComp wrong with CPM. Ill post here when it's fixed. Ill also have another look at the crosshair. Seems strange though coz mine work.

im all for fixing the weapon issues, but plz dont mess with the movement, especially adding the dodge jump - just feels floaty.

Well i might tone it down a bit at a later date. I want to do thorough testing with dodge jump first to see if it's good or bad.

For some reason i cant get the MPUK server to work so would someone mind putting on their own server to see if it loads? I've tested it on my own machine with a local server and it runs so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Thanks for the game oakz and thanks for testing it worked. It seems the server should be fixed by tomorrow and it was an unrelated problem. At least i hope so anyway.

EDIT:
Server fixed but moved to a pickup.
Use #mpukunreal.duel and #mpukunreal.tdm pickups on Quakenet instead. (You can vote for it through UTComp)

Some nice changes to movement. Also experimenting with slope dodging. Would work insanely well with custom maps that were designed for slope dodging. Please give me some feedback, good or bad.

Sounds great vybz! Try putting in a slope dodge on a large wall. Something like boosting across a large gap would be fun! No idea if it would work though.
